BAIA's new approach to business networking is based on an Open Source Governance model.

July 8, 2008 | Roma, Italy - BAIA Italia panel event - Private Equity, innovazione e competitività
BAIA Roma chapter hosted an event focused on Private Equity, at at the Italian House of the Representatives. It has been the ideal prosecution of the February 19 event, during which several ideas debuted: creating a vivid ecosystem for investment in Italy on the basis of the Silicon Valley model, narrowing the use of public resources and stimulating investments of private risk capital.

BAIA partnered with Sorelle Fine Arts to host an evening of networking in an artful setting in Los Angeles. Cristina and Laura Capitanio, Sorelle Fine Arts' founders, showcased their creations with wall and ceiling paintings, murals, trompe l'oeil, faux finishes, cabinetry painting, gold leaf, and digital renderings.

In correspondence with the inauguration of the new Consul General in San Francisco, the Italian Ambassador in Washington, Hon. Giovanni Castellaneta, visited the Bay Area and met with the business community during a roundtable at Silicon Valley's Digital Persona. With the opportunity, our Ambassador graciously accepted BAIA honorary membership.

This new BAIA Italia event has been hosted at a really nice location called "Chiostri dell'Umanitaria" in Milano. With the title "E-commerce: a way to new entrepreneurial activity", it focused on whether electronic commerce can be a platform for a new wave of entrepreneurial activity in Italy. Technology providers and industry experts came together for this interesting round table.
